The YuKants series is designed to embolden our children to overcome obstacles and build mental strength. More than empty phrases commonly thrown at children, the YuKants provide the framework to develop resilience.
I have two outstanding daughters and the YuKant Series was developed as a way to support their growth and to fight back against “the can’ts.” At age 3 or 4, my daughter came home from pre-school in tears because someone said she “can’t” play baseball. Then she internalized that she couldn’t. The YuKants takes on the doubts and doubters.
Project Blüfin
The conspiracy is the conspiracy. An interactive, book game that uses Augmented Reality (AR) Technology to revolutionize storytelling. A global quest that puts the reader in the story. A realtime political and social thriller aimed at young adults willing to put their power for good into action.
I’ve been obsessed with news and the news cycle since I was a kid. I worked and studied politics for years culminating with creating my own major at the University of Colorado, Boulder, entitled The Political History and Literature of Oppression. I live and breathe politics and news. All of my work aims to make change, to improve our world in some small way.
Screenplays
I grew up with a massive education in film provided by my father. I earned my screenwriting certification from the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. I’ve worked in media for over 15 years.

Poetry
I started writing poetry in high school. I loved the great classic poets but it was Henry Rollins who changed my idea of what poetry could be. Lines became blurred and I could see poetry in everything. My work is a search for justice and truth, in life and in nature. However, in the last year, I’ve written a book of poems entitled “Weighted” about lifting weights and pushing yourself physically in the gym, outside, on the Concept 2 - daily inspiration for those working out their demons in pools of sweat.
StoryTelling
I love both short and long form fiction. The skeletons assemble in my mind and I start to add the muscle. Often they live unfinished, stalking me, until their time comes.
I’m a collector of emotions, of moments past and moments yet lived, of discarded conversations spoken in whispers in poorly lit cafes.
